Earth Friendly Herbal Packaging

As an Indigenous Secwepemc woman, I have always had a deep connection to the land and in our business, Up the Hill at Loakin we know we want to continue to develop that deep connection through to our packaging. You will see our green tea bags are biodegradable and compostable, so when you are finished with your lovely green packages you can toss it in to your recycle bin and you can place the used tea bag in your compost bin.

I learned at a very early age, through my parents and our grandparents that I must always take care of the land when. My parents harvested herbal medicines, foods and wild game and in doing this they taught us to never take more than we need and to leave the land in better condition than we found it. They told us to make sure that land is clean, take all of your containers, and waste of any kind with you when you leave an area. I can now teach this to my family.

We continue with our bio-degradable , earth friendly packaging and you will see changes in our packaging materials as we progress in business. We use sewn linen bags for our smudge blend, compostable materials for our sage soap packaging, This list will expand as our business expands. Kukstsemc (thank you)
